About RestArc Seating
A small studio for lounge seating.
RestArc Seating designs zero-gravity recliners and ergonomic lounge seating for living rooms, reading corners and quiet showrooms. We draw each chair around one question: what does it take for a seat to earn a permanent place in a room?

Our approach
Furniture first.
Recliners have a reputation for bulk: padded arms, visible levers, a shape that takes over a room. We started from the opposite end — a lounge chair you’d choose for how it looks, which happens to recline smoothly into a zero-gravity position.
“Zero-gravity” describes a geometry, not a promise: the seat tilts back and the legs rise to roughly the level of the chest. We use the term to describe that position, and nothing more.
Our ergonomic work is practical: seat depths and heights that suit a wide range of people, cushions that keep their shape, arms at a height you can rest on. We test with real sitters and publish the dimensions so buyers can compare.
Few pieces, well resolved
We would rather refine one chair for another season than add three new ones. A short range is easier to make well and easier for a retailer to show.
Say what it is
Seat height, recline angle, timber species, fabric content. We publish the facts and let people decide how a chair feels to them.
Made to be kept
Removable covers, replaceable cushions and serviceable mechanisms, so a chair can be refreshed rather than replaced.
